The Original Xtreme Blazer!!!

1989 S-10 Xtreme Blazer
This is my 89 S-10 Blazer...my first Xtreme!! I built it from the ground up!! everything you see here was done by me and my friends. Many many hours were spent on this truck....it was my first lowrider, and got me interseted in the Xtreme. Unfortunatley i had to part ways with it because of many reasons....one being it was nearing the 200,000 mile mark...and i really wanted a new truck. Everything that could have been done to this truck was done....just short of the V8 350 being slapped in!!

First, i dropped it 2/3 inches with springs and a kit from bell tech. Then i added a killer set of 16 inch Niche Runners, wrapped in Pirelli's. I had Edelbrock headers put on...then a custom true dual exhaust with 2 30 series flowmasters and NO cats!! I had a K&N ram air kit on the engine, with a TBI spacer, ADS superchip, B&M shift kitand a Flex-a-lite flex fan. All in all these mods really worked well with the 4.3 engine.

Body mods included a Harwood cowl induction hood...which added some HP on the highway, a truxarossa tailwing, and Godfather Customs ground effects, a front bumper cover, 91 S-10 grille, billet bow tie, SS emblems ,a billet antenna and street scene power mirrors. I also blended in the body lines that went around the truck, and molded all the ground effects into the truck. I had a coat of Brilliant blue pearcoat sprayed on to finish up.

Interior mods included crushed velvet headliner, black lights, a kenwood head unit controlling a kenwood EQ and a 10 disc CD changer. In the back I had a custom box built to hold 4 10 inch Kenwood subs powered by a Jenson 800 watt 4 way amp. There were also 3 way infinti 6x9's in the rear speaker locations, they were powered by a small 100 watt kenwood amp. Other features of the interior were factory leather seats, digital dash, pop up moon roof, 5% limo tint, and power everything.

In the end....I sold the truck for 2700 bucks. It was all i could get for it, and besedies I was anxious to get the Xtreme. I hear that the guy i sold it to ended up blowing the tranny and the rear gears...so i am happy that this didnt happen while I had it. I was sad to see it go...all the work, time and money, but i knew it was done, nothing more could be done...except maintenance...which i wasnt up for anymore.

In this pic, you can see the bodywork. All the ground effects were molded into the body. The original body line around the hole car was shaved, leaving no lines, and no seams. Here, you can also see the dual exhaust tips, and the holes cut out of the roll pan for them.
